Sketch Kids Two Week Camp (Ages 8-12)
The July Session is FULL, but you can get on our waitlist! Ready to learn more about theatre and have some fun with sketch comedy at the same time? Join us for our Sketch Kids Summer Camp at the Village Theatre with Maria Liatis!
Within the two-week program, we will be working on:
• Sketch Writing
• Creating a Character
• Rehearsing Scripts
• Sketch Videos
We will work and support each other as a group as we grow in our theatre knowledge, character development and comedic timing! On the last Friday of camp, we will have a pizza party for lunch to celebrate our experiences from the camp while also giving out individual awards, signed posters and a customized Sketchworks’ Kids t-shirt.
The end result of the kids’ hard work will be a Sketch Showcase on Saturday. The kids will help come up with a show title/theme and then we create special artwork to help promote their show. The entire live performance will be filmed and edited to create a DVD!

Maria graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Theater in 2006. While in college and since graduation, Maria works as an actress appearing in commercials, industrials, and films under the representation of People Store Agency.
In 2009, she completed her apprenticeship at the New American Shakespeare Tavern, where she also helped with the youth education department. In 2010, she began coaching at The Actor’s Scene, where she continues to coach aspiring actors from ages 4 to adult.
After completing the acting classes at Sketchworks, Maria appeared in her first mainstage show in 2014. She loves being a part of a theater family again. Especially one full of such hilarious and devoted members…that will let you act a fool!
